Abstract. The article considers a mechanical system consisting of two bodies with masses m1 and m2 connected by a kinematic hinge-rod connection in the form of a rigid rectilinear rod R with the possibility of their relative rotational motion relative to each other, as well as relative to their center of mass. Based on D'Alembert's principle, written taking into account the connection axiom for a non-free material point, the equations of motion of each of its bodies m1 and m2 separately and their center of mass in the field of relative inertial forces of diametrically opposite bodies m2 and m1 in a vacuum and dissipative medium were obtained. It is shown that time in the own frames of reference of its bodies m1 and m2 in relation to time in the frame of reference of their center of mass is relative and depends on the kinematic characteristics and the ratio of the masses of its bodies. Time in the center of mass reference frame and the laboratory reference frame is absolute. In addition, an analysis of the distribution of momentum of a closed mechanical system between its bodies was carried out, and a connection was established between this distribution and its energy balance for various initial conditions, where it was shown that its movement in the field of relative inertial forces satisfies the laws of conservation of momentum and energy, as well as the minimum action.
